Pakistan’s domestic champions, the Sialkot Stallions had a disappointing start to their inaugural Champions League Twenty20, losing the game against Auckland Aces by six wickets on Tuesday, October 09, 2012, at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.
Sialkot Stallions suffered their first defeat after winning 9 consecutive Twenty20 matches. Also, it was the first time a New Zealand side won a CLT20 match in the 9th attempt.
Auckland have also defeated Hampshire and they are through to the next stage. Sialkot Stallions are out of CLT20 irrespective of their result in next qualifying match tomorrow against Hampshire Royals.
