At least two providers, who wanted not to be named, verified ProPakistani that income reduction during this 14 hour assistance closed down is approximated to be around Rs. 600 thousand.
This figure results in Rs. 180 thousand (or above) reduction for govt under the head of taxation namely FED and WHT, for which no one in the govt is going to take liability for. This reduction is in addition to Rs. 500 thousand in taxation that govt had to bear just a month ago for preventing cell mobile phone services on Eid evening.
Cellular authorities told ProPakistani that almost 40 to 45 percent of cell mobile phone members stayed off-line during yesterday’s organized closed down, causing mobile darkening in 15 population rich places.
This was the second period in two months that mobile providers were instructed to postpone cell telephone assistance for protection factors. Earlier, providers were asked to closed down assistance in four major places on Eid evening, an occasion at which cell mobile phone utilization (and earnings for operators) develops by 20 times as compared to regular days.
All cell mobile phone providers, as we talked with them, seemed absolutely disappointed and were more concerned about government’s fast becoming addiction of preventing mobile assistance than the decrease in Rs. 600 thousand. They appropriately scary that govt is looking over industry’s concerns and passions to cover its lack of ability of providing protection on critical events.
We have more coverage organized on the subject, in which we will talk about the future effects of this mobile revocation, ins and outs of government’s choices, damage caused during the darkening and more. We will also try to dig out any invisible plan or secret is designed, if any, associated with these assistance revocation. Just after the break (on Monday inshAllah). Tags: News, Telecom
